You Don't Have to Believe the Lie
Speaking Truth at Hope Inspired Ministries
There's a sacred energy that fills the room when people gather with open hearts, willing to believe something better is possible. That's what I felt last week at Hope Inspired Ministries, where I had the honor of speaking to a group of students — men and women navigating real-life challenges, many of whom have felt invisible, unheard, or stuck in a state of survival for far too long.
I didn't come to sugarcoat anything. I came to speak truth.
We discussed the battle that's happening behind the scenes, the one that's happening in your head.
The whispered lies. The looping self-doubt. The shame storms that rise up when no one's around. You know the ones:
"I'm not enough.""Nothing's ever going to change.""This is just who I am."Lies. Every last one. But here's the truth I shared with them:
You don't have to believe the lie. You have the power to stop it mid-thought. You have the authority to speak something new. And God gave you that power.
God's Love Gives You the Choice
He loves you so fully and unconditionally that He even lets you think you're unloved. But just because you think it doesn't make it accurate. I reminded the students that God gives us the ability to choose differently, and when we think differently, we live differently.
Attitude is Your Weapon
I told the students what I've had to live out for myself: Your attitude is a choice.
Your circumstances do not dictate it. It's a conscious shift you make, sometimes moment by moment.
I shared one of my favorite essays by Earl Nightingale, "The Magic Word," with the students, and we explored the concept of attitude control. How to stop and disrupt the lies playing on loop in our minds. Because your attitude isn't just a mood or a personality trait, it's a decision. It's spiritual warfare.
And when you start choosing gratitude over grumbling, peace over panic, and faith over fear, everything starts to change.
Not because life gets easier. But because your focus shifts to who God is in the middle of it all.
A Breakthrough Moment
After the talk, I had lunch with one of my mentees, and something shifted. That sacred "click" moment we all long for in healing? It showed up. Seeing how rehearsed thoughts rob us of peace and purpose. That conversation alone reminded me why I show up: because when one person has a breakthrough, it echoes.
A Message That Moved The Room
One student reflected: "Use your imagination, because what you think about, you become." It's not just a catchy phrase; it's a seed of inspiration. A reminder that faith and imagination are partners. When we start to believe we are loved, chosen, and equipped by God, we don't just imagine a better future. We walk in it.
Your Invitation to Break Free
If you've been stuck in your head, cycling through the same old lies, reacting out of pain, and wondering if things will ever truly change, this is your invitation.
I'm launching a faith-rooted membership program designed for women ready to break toxic patterns, renew their minds, and rise into the life God has for them.
Inside the membership, you'll find a healing-centered space filled with truth, support, and tools to help you:
Identify and disrupt toxic thought loops
Shift your attitude with God's truth, not just self-help
Breathe again with clarity, confidence, and peace
You'll also gain access to live teachings, guided exercises, monthly workshops, a private community, and more! All created to help you walk in freedom, not just talk about it.
God's already called you worthy. This is the space where you'll finally start to believe it.
Final Thoughts
You can think a new thought. You can choose a new attitude. And God will meet you in it every single time.
Let's rise together.

Amen. It is so! We are daughters and sons of the most high king. We should put on the full armor of God, daily and pick up our cross. Die to ourselves daily and in doing so become the men and women he wants us to be. We are our worst enemy in a way when we already have the evil one doing that job at max capacity. Let’s remember who we are and live boldly! Lindsay your an inspiration.
