The Battle Within: Remembering Your Worth
Speaking to David's Business Accelerator Group
Entrepreneurship is often painted as a story of strategy, systems, and bottom lines. But anyone who has actually lived it knows the real battleground isn’t in the marketplace, it’s in remembering your worth in the midst of it all.
That was the heartbeat of my recent talk for David Visco’s Weekly Business Accelerator Group, where I shared a message titled “The Battle Within: Breaking the Cycle of Negative Thoughts & Reclaiming Your Power.”
This was a virtual room filled with driven business owners and leaders, individuals who juggle endless decisions, navigate uncertainty, and carry the pressure of growth. And yet, when I asked, “How many of you have already had at least one negative thought today?” nearly every hand shot up. The nervous laughter that followed told the story: we don’t just wrestle with numbers and markets; we wrestle with ourselves.
A Glimpse Into the Talk
One of the key analogies I shared was the comparison between a thermostat and a thermometer. A thermometer reacts to its environment—the market, clients, and the surrounding storms. But a thermostat sets the tone.
Here’s the more profound truth: when we lose sight of who we are, we become thermometers reacting to every challenge, every opinion, every circumstance. But when we remember our worth and anchor ourselves in love, we step back into the thermostat role. We stop absorbing negativity and instead set the atmosphere with clarity, confidence, and wholeness.
Negative thoughts aren’t just mental clutter; they chip away at our identity. They convince us to abandon ourselves. The real power lies in breaking that cycle, not through “positive thinking,” but by reclaiming the truth that you are already enough.
Audience Response
David wrote to me afterward:
“Hands down, you were the best speaker I’ve had yet.”
One participant shared:
“You were a ray of sunshine for me on this rainy morning. You made me feel good about myself.”
And another booked a one-on-one call immediately after. That’s the kind of impact that shows me this isn’t just a talk; it’s a remembering. When people feel seen and reconnect with their worth, change begins.
Why This Talk Matters
We live in a world that constantly tells us we’re behind, not enough, or one strategy away from worthiness. But the truth I want every person to walk away with is this: you don’t have to earn your value; you already have it.
They walked away with something far more lasting than strategies: a renewed awareness that whispers, “I am more than my circumstances, more than my mistakes, more than my doubts. I am enough.”
Moving Forward Together
This is why I do what I do: to help people love themselves again by remembering who they truly are.
